Old World Charm – The Imperial Hotel Blackpool

The Imperial Hotel -A Weekend in The Las Vegas of UK!

The Imperial Hotel, is part of The Hotel Collection. It boasts an old world charm, in a great beach location on Blackpool’s North Promenade. The hotel is an imposing building dating back to 1867 that does grab your attention due to its grandeur.

You can find it by Satnav at the: North Promenade, Blackpool, England, FY1 2HB, United Kingdom,

According to their own information it was home to Charles Dickens

The Imperial hotel claims to be “The Most Famous” in Blackpool. Obviously, that got us thinking we wanna prove this statement and even test it? Suffice to say, we went with high expectations for our accommodation for the ICE Awards Ball and ceremony.

This hotel boasts 4 Stars, has a full-service Spa, Heated indoor pool, sports facilities, a restaurant, free in room Wi-Fi and lots more…It is arranged over 4 floors, with lifts for those with mobility issues.

So, it could be a great choice for a weekend or longer stay for pleasure or business! It sure was quite great for a short weekend stay for us this weekend!

The Imperial Hotel Blackpool is child and family friendly #SeeDoBeMore #Travel Click To Tweet

It is a child and family friendly hotel. When we inquired, we were informed that; children 2 and under stay free with a paying adult. No pets though…Sorry fur baby owners! ☹

And one of the most important benefits of the Imperial Hotel Blackpool, was the free self-parking available for guests…! Since ours was a Road trip, we were grateful for this. We didn’t have to trek far on a dark cold winter evening, to get to our accommodation after parking our car!

We also checked what was available on the internet for this hotel, and what our travel club charges for a weekend stay at this hotel…You can see for yourself the results below. Our Club Price came in way cheaper than any online retailer including the hotel’s own website

One of the many reaons why we love our travel community. You can learn more about it in a full review we did here

The Room Accommodation:

Well, being non-smokers, we made sure we got a Smoke Free Room and floor! The room was a self- contained Superior Double with all the facilities you would expect from a hotel of this stature! We literally only used it to sleep and breakfast! It was clean, smelt fresh, very welcoming!

It’s not often that I talk about our club, yet I can’t help but say; we get more value for our money from using our membership for both private, business and pleasure trips. This was no exception!

So back to the Engineering ICE awards 2017…We had a total blast. We danced till late. The meal was classy, hot and delicius. This was at the Hilton Across the road. It sure did us proud.

Kudos to the management of the Imperial Hotel Blackpool for a comfortable sleep. And the Hilton Hotel where the ICE event was held…I must say this post is mostly focused on the accommodation.

Yet the Hilton truly outdid itself on the service for our Ball.

Nightlife in blackpool is vibrant with casinos, gaming arcades, lots of bachelorette or Hen dos and bachelors weekends happening. We must agree with the Guardian that it is the Las vegas of UK
