Mr Basrai’s World Cuisines Restaurant Review – Yes or Nay?

What to Do in Blackpool, UK. Fantastic Dinner at Mr Basrai’s World Cuisines Restaurant, Mini Review.

Mr Basrai’s World Buffet, Mr Basrai’s World Cuisines, Mr Basrai’s, Blackpool restaurants, Best in Blackpool DiningIt was our second visit to Blackpool within a 6-month window and we simply had to revisit the amazing Mr Basrai’s world cuisines. Despite the fact that we dis not have a Mr Basrai’s voucher. Here is why!

We first stumbled on to this ostentatious establishment in the summer of 2017 while we were looking for dinner on a bank holiday getaway! And I must say we loved it…(No spoilers yet)

This time round we were on a planned day out to Blackpool for a birthday celebration and we decided to book us a table for 21 people…Yup we were a rather large group!

So, we were all kinda excited for this dinner at Mr Basrai’s World Buffet in Blackpool! What a mouthful, so shall we just call it Mr Basrai’s, cool?

Anyway, in today’s episode, I am giving you a sneak-peek into our evening. In an unbiased yet light Mr Basrai’s Blackpool review. Shall we…

Okay, so many were in our party were kinda not aware of how this place worked. We @Pkjulesworld, we were super excited though. Not just because we were going out for dinner on a Saturday night nom nom…Rather because we knew what we were gonna get, having been here before.

So, we made sure to book the dinner knowing just how popular this world buffet is in Blackpool!

Location:

Unit 1 Talbot Road,

Cookson Street,

Blackpool

FY1 3EF.

Mr Basrai’s world cuisine, is part of a chain of restaurants, which you can also find in Edinburgh, Uyr and of course Blackpool. And in their own words, Do you…

Fancy great food but struggling with the choice of cuisine? You don’t have to choose one!

Now, if you read our Chiquito review you know that we do not do rose tinted glasses when we visit any establishment. Yet, I can say with confidence that…. Hang on a minute no spoilers yet…read on!

Just understand that in the Pkjulesworld book; one must be served if they step out and pay for a meal in a place that is bespoke for eating out. So, in this review, we are sharing our views on:

  • The externals including parking,
  • Internal Ambiance,
  • Cleanliness,
  • Staff attitude and speed of service,
  • The Food and Beverages,
  • The Amenities

And we shall finally share our Pkjulesworld Chillies Rating between 1 to 5 Chillies. 1 being poor and 5 being Shamazeballs… Cool?

Okay let’s do this!

We chose this as our celebratory dinner destination following an exciting day at the Sandcastle water park. With 13 over excited, hungry and tired children ranging from 2 years to 15 we had to find somewhere we could all enjoy outside of MacD’s. Not forgetting 9 very hungry adults…So expectations for dinner were rather high!

Mr Basrai’s World Buffet was our choice for 3 simple reasons:

  1. We could Pre-book our group large group of 21 people including children knowing we would get a table for sure.
  1. There are bags of safe parking as there is a Car Park right above the restaurant where all Restaurant customers who drive get 2 hours free.
  1. It does look real interesting as you drive by… (Okay it also looks new, and looks the beesnees! Something about Red that’s totally eye catching)

We arrived just before 6pm and I can tell you it it tricky to get to the parking if you come via the Sainsbury side! If you are driving that is, and so getting to the car park can be an exercise in patience.

The outside of the restaurant is modern and contemporary. It does deliver ambiance and a cool style.

We were welcomed by an usher at the bar, as soon as we walked in, who asked if we had a booking. We had indeed booked…Small huddle, our booking hadn’t come through, although it showed up on the e-mail. Fortunately, there were tables and we were soon seated in a spacious place by the BBQ! Ohh my, your juices start to flow…we were damn hungry!

So we started with our Drinks order…

Mr Basrai’s World Cuisines  Bar:

There is an impressive array of drinks and Mr Basrai’s drinks menu is just as extensive. You can have whatever you choose. Almost all the children settled for Orange and Mango juice J2O and we adults chose our tipples…I had a Jack Daniels with coke, no ice and Paul had a lager. If anyone wanted they could have got some funkin cocktails. 😊

The Buffet

Mr Basrai’s colorful flavors will undeniably awaken your taste buds. For it has called on your favorite dishes from China, Japan, Thailand. You won’t be left out in Indian, Italian, Mexican.

There is a salad bar, a sushi bar, noodles bar, a carvery, the BBQ char-grill doesn’t disappoint and your children will love what’s on offer for them too. Not forgetting the desserts, cakes and puddings.

There is a choice of mouthwatering curries to choose from so you will have your curry tooth fixed!

Since this is a buffet you chose what to start with, your mains and everything in between and finally your dessert…Over and over, you can eat all you want for at least 2 hours! You can see what we ate below

Mr Basrai’s World Cuisines Amenities:

The restaurant is large and spread out with some bench-like seats created in What to Do in Blackpool, United Kingdom: Fantastic Dinner at Mr Basrai’s World Cuisines Restaurant, Mini Reviewsemi circles for an even more cosy feel. Otherwise mainly Tables with Red chairs giving it a great ambiance.

The general colour theme is earthy brown and reds! Which. It is quite contemporary and swanky with a massive buffet area spread out on one whole side of the restaurant.

The Ladies and Gents Lavatories are up a flight of stairs through another cosy space with sofas and some tables plus another bar. They look well maintained and clean. With hand wash and dryers. So, no worries there either.

Their appetizers, salads, and BBQ are freshly made and are sure to open your appetite. Did I say their tacos are quite tasty? Well they are!

We all ended our meal with a bang and had some of their delicious desserts! What do I mean?

Well, almost everybody went back for seconds and thirds and the children had a sweet tooth day. Dessert after dessert, over and over…They had a fab time and meal!

Mr Basrai’s World Cuisines Review: The Pkjulesworld Rating:

All in all, we had a great evening, we felt welcome, our children had a ton of fun and enjoyed the food, over and over! Dessert definitely was their best! 😊 We had 2 rows of tables to ourselves like we were in a private room at no extra cost. The Staff were attentive and helpful.

At £16.99 per adult – 12yrs+

£6.99 per child 3-12yrs and

£2.99 for under 3yrs all you can eat over and over Buffet! You surely cannot complain. And the ambiance is great.

  8. Our family doesn’t get out that often, so when we do, it needs to be a sure thing. Convenience, ambience, price and of course taste all have to be great. I’m thrilled these were priorities for you too. Indeed, Mr. Basrai’s sounds like a sure thing.

  9. This looks like a really great place to try in Blackpool! If I’m ever in the area, I’m going to have to try it out myself. There’s nothing like an awesome buffet dinner!

  10. Mr. Basrais’ looks like a great place to celebrate a birthday. It can be hard to find a place to accommodate so many people’s taste so looks like you found it. So glad everything worked out despite the one snafu.

  14. We enjoy eating at buffet places here but this one seems to be a little more upscale. I would say it is the best place to take a large party because everyone should be able to find something they like to eat and if your paying then you know the price for the most part too. Looks like a great evening out.

  15. Your post made me hungry! I’m not in the UK, but just from reading this it makes me want to take a trip there just to experience these restaurants! Thank you for sharing!

  18. It sounds like a great experience all-around other than the small blip of your booking not going through. Thankfully they had room for you and it did almost look like your own private seating! The food looks and sounds amazing as well.

  19. Mr. Basrai’s World Cuisine sounds wonderful! You had me at children enjoy it and they serve Mexican. I’m jelli of all the places you visit so I’ll live vicariously through you as well as other bloggers. 🙂
