Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, Eforea Spa Review – Our Anniversary Experience!
Would you consider a Spa break for your wedding anniversary? We did and we loved the experience so much, we might make it a tradition.
In this episode, we share our Doubletree by Hilton Spa review and experience. But more so, we would love to share our day with you in arrears. 😊
This was our 19th wedding anniversary and we felt it would be best celebrated in relaxation as it has been a truly hectic fast year! So, a relaxed, de-stressing, spa day just the two of us was what the doctor ordered!
And while we would usually find a fantastic deal in our own travel community and club, on this occasion we got an amazing deal via SpaSeekers. The Spa Seekers website also came with a 5 Star TrustPilot rating and we can’t argue with that!
We chose the Eforea Illuminate Spa Day. Why did we choose this treatment among the other amazing packages? Well, mostly timing, this specific treatment is offered from 10:00am and this fitted perfectly with our plans for the rest of the day!
We decided to test this out! And in the Spa’s own words the Illuminate Spa Day is:
“So relaxing, so rejuvenating: Soothe your mind and nourish your soul with a day of complete and utter bliss right here in paradise. We all lead such hectic lives these days, so a break from the norm will tick all the right boxes…”
So, we are not ones to dither with decisions, and we went all in to enjoy this experience, and share with you! 😊 In this case we share our @pkjulesworldrating based on the following criteria:

Location – 9 / 10
Set inside the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in the heart of Liverpool City. On Victoria Street. So, it’s a stone throw from Moorfields train and underground station and Liverpool’s main Bus Station at Queens square. And of course, if you drive, which we did, there is a Q-Park around the corner so all bases are covered. So, the Eforea Spa is easily accessible and boasts a great location, And gains mucho kudos from the Hilton umbrella!

Facilities and Service – 8 / 10
At first it all felt too modern; But when you looked at all the Christmas décor, the warm cosy seats and the sheer cleanliness of the space. It starts to feel like a relaxing treat to be here.
The Staff at the Spa front desk were very professional and friendly. We headed off to have our full body massage. Both of us chose the firm massage and we can’t tell you how amazingly, luxuriously, great and relaxed your body will feel after this experience.
The Eforea Staff offered us each a pack of luxurious changing robes, towel and slippers all wrapped in a clear bag. With a ribbon. Definitely a fantastic touch!
The changing rooms are separate of course and in the ladies as am sure in the gents are!
- Lockers for your valuables security.
- Benches to sit and get changed or simply relax after your spa experience, showers well stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion.
- There are 4 hair driers which work pretty well. A bowl of cotton wipes is provided for makeup removal or whatever. Large mirror for hose selfies and make up lol!
- The room is well lit so we ladies can apply our makeup well!
The Massage room has the appearance of a really luxurious room, candle lit, lots of oils, lotions and portions to choose from for your massage! The massage bed is actually quite wide and super comfy!
The Massage…OhEmGee…Fabulous…Although they do not touch your stomach area or face at all! For us a full body massage should include those body parts unless the client declines! The Masseuse should at least ask; if you would like to have those parts done too. We guess they have their reasons…BY comparison the Soothing Spot Spa we have been to recently did a Full Body Massage and we had the hot stone massage.
The Eforea Spa is located in the basement of the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel – Lots of glass surrounded by beautiful mosaic tiles. There is a Sauna and Steam room. Sensuous swimming, hydrotherapy and steam pool. It is spotlessly clean we must say!
There is a relaxation room with deep soft beds and seats with lots of refreshing water. Greenery and magazines to while away the time as you ponder your day! Guess what; we found this almost at par with the Dreams La Romana Spa Experience! How about that?

Character and Style – 7 / 10
It’s the attention to detail throughout the Double Tree by Hilton Eforea Spa that makes it special and why it will stand the test of time. The décor is classy not overbearing! Soft ceiling lights switch on automatically as you walk into the changing room. A glass roof above the rest space in the Swimming pool area, A raised mezzanine sitting space.
Stylized sitting room with melt on beds. A pity about how empty it felt…but then what would one expect on a Tuesday Morning. We felt like it was all ours, a truly luxury experience.
Bung for your buck i.e. Value for money – 8 / 10
Well truly value for money at £72 per person for 2 hours. Although this is equivalent to what some people ear all day or even all week!
There are a few stairs, and we frankly didn’t notice how guests with disabilities would access the spa in the basement!
It sure is Family-friendly but would be real cosy on a busy day!

Doubletree is one of the best brand by Hilton Hotel. People are very accommodating . I had a great experience with my stay. They offer a lot of services . And they will look for the best room that will satisfy your needs.

You totaly do, We did get way more…as you can imagine we love to see more people in a place, but thats not the spa’s fault!
A spa day is always a great idea! We usually prefer stand-alone spas though, as we feel a lot of spas attached to hotels lack that personal touch we’re looking for. Glad to hear you guys had a lovely time at this one. PS: happy anniversary!
