Getting the Most Out of a Spa Visit| Pkjulesworld’s Best Tips!
Pkjulesworld Best Spa Visit at the Soothing Spot Spa, Kampala.
I have had the best birthday ever with the Best Spa Visit I have had this year!
I truly think a Spa Day or your Best Spa Visit should feel like a vacation. It should feel like you just dropped a huge burden and feel as light as a feather. This is exactly how the @Pkjulesworld Team felt when we visited the Soothing Spot Spa on Acacia Mall in Kampala Uganda!
But for this to happen for you, you gotta make sure you plan your day properly! A little research and preparation does go a long way. esp. in a city where traffic is crazy and any given trip cold take you an hour to get to a 5 mile destination. Trust me in some parts of the world it truly is Manyana…and Traffic can be crazy! So…
In this post, I am going to share my best tips on having the Best Spa Visit/Day whether at home or away ever!
Here is the secret though, you don’t have to spend a fortune at an expensive spa even on a real vacation. But once in a while you must splash out on YOU right. Well, all you need is:
- Own essential oils,
- Scented rose petals,
- Base Oil like; Olive oil, coconut oil etc.
- Bath foam
- Then set aside “You Time,” fill up your bathtub with frothy warm water. Put in some drops of your essential oils. Depending on what you need.
Put in the rest of your wonderful ingredients. I have some super ‘bath bombs.’ Don’t forget those petals. Light some aromatic candles, pour yourself a glass of chilled champers or wine. Put on some ambient music and Lie in your bath for the next 20-30 mins! Imagine you are in that super expensive beachside Spa…Dram a dream. DO you.
Bingo you just had the best spa visit, in the comfort of your home!

Cost? Whatever you paid for your ingredients! 😊
Pure bliss…
Like I said before, if you have a bit of moolah saved up, treat yourself to a full Luxury Spa day. Head on to somewhere like Langdale (Image above). Or if ever in Kampala, Head on to The Soothing Spot Spa.
Have the works; facial, massage, sauna/steam, pedi-manicure, hair and make sure you get the Best Spa Visit ever.
We adults had
- The Aromatherapy, Hot stones 90 minute Massage,
- Steam Bath and
- Julie had a Full Facial..Bliss-ville!
Seriously, we have had massage sessions in lots of cool places. Yet, this experience was out there among the best, if not the best for us! The oils were truly aromatic, and sank into the knotted muscles. The masseuse knew their job, I slept like a baby till asked to turn over.
The younger Pkjulesworld team each had a soft Aromatherapy massage for 60 mins, Sauna and Steam bath! We slept like babies that night!
Now this Spa offers members an ipportunity to get free or subsidised Sessions if on eintroduces or invites a friend or more to use the services. You also accumulate points to be used on your next visit for every UGX 10,000 you spend. Thats equivalent to $3! WORTH EVERY PENNY!
This concept is similar to many affiliate platform offers. And here is the secret…
Better still you could decide to save even more for longer and chose to become part of our global travel community. See what we get via our travel app below!
One of the activities I am always looking forward to the most at a Spa and this was no different is the steam bath. I also make sure I get at least one deep tissue massage session on my vacations. My hair gets done straight after the spa visit, that way it has a healthy glow too!
On our last Caribbean vacation to Dreams La Romana Resort & Spa we thoroughly enjoyed the Spa facilities which were truly exceptional. We could comfortably compare this experience with that we had in Arizona at the Hilton El Conquistador Gold Resort!

Whatever your choice of Spa, whether its pre-vacation so that you look and feel your best. Or its part of your vacation, you want to have the best time ever. You want to feel the results of your Spa visit for weeks to come. And if done right the benefits can span months.
When we visited the Marmaris Mud Baths, in Turkey, we literally shed our top skin exposing soft smooth firmer skin. It didn’t look good for weeks as it peeled though. We literally looked like we had just got off a bus from Goma lol! We over did it maybe :/

Sounds like you are living the life! I’d never been to a spa before until recently and it is heavenly. I had a facial massage, thinking it was not going to be as good as a regular massage, but boy was I wrong! It was so relaxing! And that hot towel was the best!
Hey Tiffany,
We al live the life we ask for…on a subconscious level. So if you wish to have more spa days, go right ahead and create the same at home 🙂
What an awesome tips and I think I need to have a relaxing day too.
For sure we all need a relaxing day Brook. Glad yo got value 🙂
I love spa time and try to take on board your tips here for making time to just chill out. Not enough of that happens and I guess we have to change how we think and put ourselves first now and again.

I believe that it is really important to take care of ourselves but more than that, I believe we need to treat ourselves to celebrate the “wins” and successes in our life. I used to own a skin spa and I can tell you how refreshing it is to go to a spa. My personal favorite spa spot has some amazing features that made me feel so relaxed and pampered. I think that a luxurious spa should be on everyone’s bucket list.
Wow,
Sounds like you agree with us Sharon, thanks for your insights an contribution 🙂 We love Spa Days!
I have never been to a spa, although I love massages so I’m sure I’ll enjoy it. The steam bath sounds amazing. The best part for me is the spa at home, we can have it anytime we need one!

This is one thing I have to remember to include in my itinerary when I travel. I usually head on to visit museums first, then historical sites, the beach (if possible) and then the shopping places. I would love to have a spa experience in every place I visit. I have to do that next time.
Make it happen Annemarie. Afterall you travel on “Vacation” or so most of us say.and Nothing screams Relaxing that a Spa day 🙂 Glad to inspire!
